Whiteshell Provincial Park - 5 Days All-Inclusive w/ Add-ons

This all inclusive 5 day tour puts you on a path to fully engage with and actively learn about Canada's fur trade history. We start off our journey in Winnipeg to visit an 19th century replica fur trading fort, the Manitoba Museum highlighted by the Hudson's Bay Company exhibit and lastly a city tour that gets us close and personal with St. Boniface, central Canada's largest francophone community outside of Quebec.

The next week is filled with your choice of hiking, camping, paddling traditional canoes, exploring natural wonders and visiting local traditional indigenous sites such as the Petraforms. Your guides will take you on a journey of learning to cook over an open fire, how to safely navigate the boreal forest, and bring to life an era of exploration and fur trading as you spend time camping along the historic Winnipeg River.

We have many add-ons to this tour that will surely make your Manitoban stay comfortable, rewarding, and engaging. Take a guided horseback ride into the backcountry and learn about the famous "Falcon Lake Incident", the world's most documented UFO encounter or a canoe tour through the famous Caddy Lake tunnels to name a few!

"Winter Festival du Voyageur" Tour

Winnipeg & Whiteshell Provincial Park - 5 Days All-Inclusive w/ Add-ons

This all inclusive 5 day tour puts you into the heart of our winter festival season. In mid-February each year, Winnipeg hosts the "Festival du Voyageur", celebrating our local francophone culture and heritage. Located on the grounds of a traditional fur trade fort called Fort Gibraltar, live music, beard growing contests, snowshoe tours, and traditional games fill the days of this week long celebration.

You will have an opportunity to explore the city and get out to the beautiful Whiteshell Provincial Park to experience the silence and solitude of the ancient forests in a winter wonderland. A truly remarkable experience to spend time snowshoeing an exploring the snow covered forests and learning the ways of traditional winter travel as the early explorers once did in the wild North American frontier. We offer an opportunity to spend a night (or 2) in a traditional wood stove heated prospector tent.
