Parkland Adventure Tour - 3 Days/2 Nights

OVERVIEW

It is said that you can't experience all that Riding Mountain has to offer in one trip! We've done our best and put together an adventure package to at least give you the best in your timeframe! There is so much to explore and discover. Imagine paddling one of the largest spring fed lakes in the world, to hiking one of the many trails through mixed forest to a secluded lake, to exploring a Victorian-era resort town. This tour will show you Riding Mountain National Park!
The park is nearly 3000 square kilometres of protected wilderness. This ensures an undisturbed haven for many of Canada's most iconic land animals such as black bears, elk, moose, and wolves. The park's epicenter is Clear Lake, one of the world's largest spring fed lakes. It's cool deep waters and beautiful shorelines make this a wonderful spot for a mid-day swim and picnic lunch. Other great features in the park are the historic East Gate, the active Lake Audy Bison herd, and of course camping among the mixed forest lands.
Your guides take care of all the logistics to make your trip enjoyable, worry free, and provide an opportunity to truly take in this incredible place and explore it at your own pace. We offer add-on tours and options so feel free to create your own perfect Riding Mountain National Park getaway!

Tour Highlights:

 01 / Camping

Learn how to camp safely and efficiently while enjoying incredible scenery. You will learn to pitch a tent, stay dry in wet weather, and how to cook over an open fire.

 02 / Hiking Tour

Get out of town and spend the day hiking to one of the park's remote lakes. Your tour guide will provide a picnic lunch on this active adventure experience and reveal how the harmony of the forest is deeply intact with it's inhabitants.

 03 / Canoe Tour

What better way to truly explore the remote lakes than by traditional canoe. Your guide will teach you how to paddle and stay safe while learning to navigate this ancient activity.

 04 / Martese Boat Cruise

Cruises provide unique learning and photo opportunities. Our captain will guide you through Riding Mountain's cultural and geological history, wildlife and vegetation, and some other unique information about the area.

 05 / Wildlife Safari

We join a Parks Canada interpreter for an intimate learning about the park and it's wildlife. It's common to see signs of elusive animals and if we're lucky we'll get a chance for a great photo!
