Camping - Riding Mountain National Park (2 Nights)

The Riding Mountain National Park is a wilderness oasis in the sea of Canada's prairie grasslands and developed western farmlands. This park holds many of Canada's largest land animals such as elk, moose, black bear, whitetail deer, wolves, and a protected herd of bison. Throughout the park you can find trails, rivers, secluded lakes, and places of history. We bring together an incredible camping experience in the heart of Clear Lake Country.

Sample Itinerary:

Day #1: Arrival, meet your guides, and set up camp. Your guides will cook a great welcome meal and we'll spend time around the fire getting to know another. The afternoon includes a tour of the campground and potentially a short hike to a local point of interest such as the Victorian era resort town of Wasagaming to meet Parks Canada interpretive staff.

Day #2: The second day is our day of adventure. Your guides are up early to prepare a hot breakfast and warm up the kettle for morning coffee and tea. We head out for the morning on a guided hike on one of the many trails. Along a secluded lake we'll enjoy a picnic lunch and have time to explore the area.

The afternoon encompasses a guided canoe tour on the beautiful Clear Lake. Your guides will share about how this spring fed lake maintains it's clear blue color in the middle of the prairies.

We'll return to our campsite for a delicious meal prepared over an open fire by your guides while you go for an evening swim and enjoy your supper watch the sun set over the forest.

Day #3: Our last day begins with a traditional breakfast of campfire bannock and Rubaboo, a traditional Voyageur stew. We'll pack up camp and head out to explore the Ominik Marsh and surrounding Wasagaming area. We'll conclude our trip with one last hike and picnic lunch en route back to Winnipeg.

We accommodate tours of 2 to 20 people. We provide all the camping equipment, food, permits, and experienced guides. Check out our PACKING LIST for what you need to bring and how to prepare for your Riding Mountain camp experience.
